Lexton to Unite Local Artists

Taron Lexton, a graduate from the Los Angeles Film School has written and is directing an international music video, entitled, "UNITED" for Youth for Human Rights International, using footage from the World Tour 2004 completed this March.
Drama follows an inner city kid with a heart for basketball who finds himself discriminated against because he isnt tall enough. He rallies the people of the world to fight for his right to play.
André Boydon, Eric Forté, Jazzlyn Liggins, Lai Lai, Brady Frome and Matt Dowling star in this short film, which Leslie Brown is producing. Mary Shuttleworth is exec producing.
Financing for the project comes from individual donations by private sponsors.
The music is a collaboration of hip-hop and R&B sounds produced by Geoff Levinaward-winning composer who won the Houston Film Festival Gold Special Jury Award for the dark comedy, Hungry Heartswith lyrics and Rap written and performed by Charles Gee, of Gainesville, Florida, and 14-year old local LA female rap artist, Lai Lai.
