TXL Films is a boutique production company, founded by South African director Taron Lexton, with projects spanning more than 50 countries, on all 7 continents— that focuses on unique and humanity-driven stories that connect us to each other and to the world.
Born in South Africa and raised in Los Angeles, Lexton graduated from LA Film School and by the age of 35 had filmed in 55 countries on 7 continents. He’s directed more than 500 national commercials, including 3 Super Bowl ads, and multiple award-winning short films. His work has been awarded by more than 100 film festivals, and his humanitarian projects earned him the United Nations Award of Excellence. In 2004 he founded TXL Films, a Los Angeles-based production company whose work has been seen by over a billion people worldwide.
In 2017 he directed the critically acclaimed indie feature In Search of Fellini, starring Ksenia Solo (Black Swan, Project Blue Book) and Golden
Globe nominee Maria Bello (Thank You for Smoking, A History of Violence).
In 2019 he directed the ground-breaking feature film Nomad, currently in post production. It is the first narrative film to shoot on all 7 continents and capture a total solar eclipse as the backdrop of a scene.
Nathan has been a film industry buff since the age of 6 when he began his career as a child actor in shows such as 90210, Who’s the Boss and several national commercials.
In 2007 he embarked on his first project behind the camera, producing the award-winning short “Struck” (with acceptance in over 50 film festivals and winning over 15 laurels) with his wife, Milena Ferreira. They traveled the world for two years attending film festivals and meeting other inspiring filmmakers. Attending the Cannes Film Festival was eye-opening and he credits this as the driving force behind his inspiration to continue.
Nathan and his wife continue to produce and develop and have spent the last 8 years producing hundreds of award-winning, national commercials, winning over 20 Tellys and several other accolades.
He has also continued his acting as The Rookie in the Good Cops web series, and as the Man in Black in Tumbleweed. In 2014 he teamed back up with Good Cops Entertainment and Shoreline Entertainment to co-produce, and play a supporting role, in their first feature I Had A Bloody Good Time At House Harker, which premiered at the 2016 Nocturna Film Festival in Madrid, Spain to rave reviews and became the recipient of the Audience Choice “Best Film” award.
Nathan recently teamed up with Spotted Cow Entertainment to produce the independent feature film In Search of Fellini starring Ksenia Solo, Mary Lynn Rajskub and Maria Bello, which filmed in 2015.
Milena has always loved movies.
Watching hundreds of movies, visiting the theaters every weekend, she was swept away and naturally her love for screenwriting and filmmaking was born. At the age of 14 she met another like-minded film enthusiast, Nathan Lorch, and their journey together began and continues to this day as a husband-wife production team coined “Team Lorch”.
In 2007 Milena wrote the award-winning short Struck which they produced together and shot with director Taron Lexton. Struck was officially selected in over 50 film festivals worldwide, screened out of competition at the iconic Cannes Film Festival in 2008 and won over 15 laurels.
In 2014 they produced and made their directorial debut with another award-winning short written by Milena, Lennon, starring Kim Kutner and Nancy Cartwright. (The voice of Bart Simpson.) They also teamed up with Shoreline Entertainment and Good Cops Entertainment to produce their first feature film, I Had A Bloody Good Time At House Harker, which premiered at the 2016 Nocturna Film Festival in Madrid, Spain to rave reviews and became the recipient of the Audience Choice “Best Film” award.
In the past several years they’ve produced over 150 television commercials for Age of Learning, Inc. holder company of ABCMouse.com, an educational website for children. These commercials are currently airing on kid’s TV channels such as Disney Junior, Nickelodeon, Sprouts and several others. These commercials have won several accolades including over 20 Telly Awards.

Nick believes in magic. He solved the Curious Case of Benjamin Button, it wasn’t that hard. He loves Bad Robots, Apple anything and talented people who create beautiful, inspiring and impactful work. And he’s not just referring to the TXL team that he gets to work with on a daily basis.
Nick’s been producing commercials, print and film projects internationally since 2008 and is a proud member of the Producers Guild of America. In 2011 he co-founded a successful branded content and viral video ad agency which was featured on AMC’s “The Pitch.” He’s produced digital ad campaigns that have garnered over 35 million organic views on Youtube.
His credits include: Focus Features Film “Kicks”, the 2015 SXSW Film Festival Selection “Babysitter”, ads for Nike, AirBNB, Ford Motors, Intel, Sonos, FedEx, Honest Tea and ABCMouse.com.
Brandon Marion was born and raised in Hollywood and has deep roots in the entertainment industry. Though having his own artistic talents and interests, he pursued a career in finance and business. He has an extremely diverse background in both the public and private financial markets. With over 30 years of experience, he has worked internationally with hundreds of companies and individuals, and is engaged in a broad spectrum of industries and activities. He has managed assets for individuals and companies ranging in size from small privately held firms to multi-billion dollar multi-national corporations. Currently operating a boutique investment business, Aspen Private Capital, Brandon has helped inspire, advise and finance companies all over the world.
Additionally, but most importantly, he has helped humanitarian efforts that created a positive impact on millions of lives. His approach to finance and investing is such that he believes that money should be used to fund activities that enhance our lives. It is with that philosophy that he has placed his focus on TXL Films, to create, what he believes will be an uplifting of the spirit through the artistic medium of film!
Brandon brings a unique skill set and fresh viewpoint to Filmmaking. His vast knowledge of organizational structure and financial markets, coupled with an intense interest in the arts, provides TXL Films with the ability to produce the highest quality Films, thereby creating a positive impact on mankind.
Nicole’s love for film first started at an early age when she stumbled upon her parents’ camcorder. This discovery led to filming a variety of adventures, love stories, horror films, really anything that inspired her. She then taught herself how to edit and began turning her footage into stories. In pursuit of her passion for storytelling, Nicole decided to make the leap from Santa Cruz to Los Angeles.
In the past few years she’s worked on dozens of award-winning commercials for ABCmouse.com, Co-Produced the short film Wanderer starring Mark O’Brien (Arrival) and Georgina Reilly (Murdoch Mysteries), was Assistant Producer on the independent feature film In Search of Fellini, and helped on several other short films and music videos.
Bryan has always had a passion for movie making. He grew up watching Sci-Fi classics like “The Day the Earth Stood Still” and “Forbidden Planet”, which sparked his imagination and inspired his career.
Although he studied at Video Symphony for editing, he soon realized that his true talents lay in the technical field and within visual effects. Bryan is now the Visual Effects Supervisor and IT Director at TXL Films. Coined the “wizard”, Bryan can create something out of nothing, and nothing out of something.
Ian Rosloniec is a film editor from Rockford, Michigan. After getting his film degree in sunny Florida, he moved to equally sunny Los Angeles to pursue his dream of editing feature films.
While editing is his specialty, Ian is well-versed in all aspects of the film process including cinematography, gaffing, directing – he’s a jack of all trades! When he’s not working his editing magic, Ian loves to channel his creativity through photography.
When it comes to the entertainment industry, Kim is no stranger to wearing a variety of different hats– actress, photographer, musician, casting director, and for the past five years, producer.
Kim’s been lucky to work with a host of local production companies including Furlined and Buzzfeed, along with some greats such as Janusz Kaminsky and Phil Morrison along the way. Her future plans include embarking on as many creative endeavors as possible.
Los Angeles Native and Cinematographer Atreyu Smith knew he wanted to work behind the camera since the young age of 12. The son of a screenwriter, he naturally gravitated toward the storytelling aspect of film. He saw life through a lens wherever he went and was quickly recognized for his natural ability to captivate an audience through uniquely aesthetic visuals and sound.
Fast forward to the present–he has worked on features, award-winning short films, and countless music videos with celebrities such as Lindsey Stirling, Sabrina Carpenter, and Haley Rienhart. Smith continues to travel the world capturing humanity in motion.
His dynamic and upbeat approach to life naturally translates on a set. His ability to adapt led him to being recruited to do any job one could do – editing, set photography, pulling focus – he is truly a jack of all trades.
Smith’s all-time favorite film is Inception, which inspired the larger-than-life feeling audiences get from his work. He now finds himself living in his own dream–one he hopes to never wake up from.
Harvard and Juilliard graduate, Fulbright scholar and award-winning artist, Jimmy Collins travels the world filming videos and engaging in adventures of all kinds.
After spending several years in Africa working on documentaries and living the vagabond life, Jimmy decided to move to Los Angeles and join the party. He began making videos for musicians, landing a lucky job with jazz legend, Chick Corea. He then expanded his repertoire to directing commercials, developing video campaigns for tech companies, traveling the world filming music tours and working with noteworthy names including Dell, Union Bank, Samsung, MTVu, Current TV and Tourism Australia. After getting stampeded by a group of ravenous female music fans in Japan, Jimmy decided he had finally made it.
Kevin Garrison is a Director of Photography based out of Los Angeles, California. Though his fields of interest vary, he can often be found taking short naps in hammocks, giving lenses personal nicknames or petting his cat – Athena.
Starting his career at 20, he embarked on a 3-month international tour filming human rights education in more than 10 countries, clocking in over 50,000 miles and eventually resulting in a Volunteer Service Award from the President of the United States, and numerous accolades from international dignitaries.
Over the course of the next few years, he expanded into feature films and commercials with TXL Films, often taking on international assignments. He has since filmed in nearly 30 countries around the world.
In the past year, he has worked extensively with TXL Films – most recently finishing a four month stint in Italy with Director, Taron Lexton, as Director of Photography for “In Search of Fellini”.
Edy was born and raised in Mexico but currently resides in the US. He was always fascinated by an eclectic mix of music but was categorically enamored by the orchestra. From an early age he became a cinephile and would obsessively watch reruns of THE TWILIGHT ZONE.
As a classical composer Edy won several international awards and got his work played by different orchestras, soloists and ensembles in both America and Europe.
Being a singer himself and a popular music lover, he became an arranger and has worked on many platinum albums and Grammy-nominated projects with varied artists such as Plácido Domingo, Daddy Yankee, Sergio Vallin, Carlos Santana, and Steve Vai among others.
He has scored a number of films that have premiered in theaters in Mexico and the US and have garnered several nominations and awards. Additionally, he has worked extensively in advertising.
His approach is above all concerned with storytelling and emotional impact.
In 2004 Leslie produced her inaugural showpiece, UNITED, a TXL Films production for Youth for Human Rights International. This short film premiered inside the United Nations and went on to screen at more than 20 film festivals, won 7 awards, and qualified for an Academy Award nomination.
Since then, Leslie continued to support YHRI and cast a series of 30 PSAs along with 21 ads for The Way to Happiness Foundation. She also cast numerous short films for students at NYFA (LA), and CCH, several commercials and three feature-length films for up-and-coming directors. Specializing in finding talented multi-ethnic youth, Leslie has been focusing on casting commercials for ABCmouse.com since 2011.
Makeup chose Mariah, she didn’t choose makeup. It started in high school when she assisted her mom on some creative projects and helped out with school plays. From there, it grew from a fun hobby to a full-fledged career.
Mariah’s had the fortune of working on commercials, TV, film, editorial and special events for 13 years. She loves travel and people, and is lucky enough to have a career that lets her combine both. Her favorite thing about doing makeup is the creation & manifestation of someone’s vision- whether it is for a wedding, editorial shoot or a feature film.
K. Spencer Jones is a film and commercial editor from Toronto, Canada. He started his career as a photographer, traveling around the world to 15 different countries capturing portraits as well as trailblazing the 500-mile “Camino de Santiago” across Spain.
He moved to Los Angeles in 2014 and has worked on multiple award-winning feature films, short films, national commercials and music videos. In addition to his editing work, he has appeared in two feature films and multiple short films in the last two years, and put his photography skills to use doing the cinematography for “WANDERER” a short film with Canada’s Mark O’Brien (ARRIVAL, HALT & CATCH FIRE) and Georgina Reilly (MURDOCH MYSTERIES).
Renato was born and raised in Italy. The arts have always had a great importance in his life. In his teenage years, he started making music and decided to make it his life’s purpose.
In 2009, he moved to Los Angeles and was heavily exposed to the world of cinema. While pursuing his musical career he got more involved in filming projects and working with his wife who is a film makeup artist.
Renato’s music has been featured in several films and TV shows around the globe, as well as on the radio in many countries from Japan, Korea, Brazil, France, Israel, the U.S., etc.
While working as a music producer and songwriter, Renato had the opportunity in recent years to branch off into the world of sound recording, working on a few short movies and eventually joining the team on the film NOMAD.
